its all the same, in sims, karting and other racing mid field is NOT the place to be if u wanna survive.

the damage modeling in LFS is only the way it is because the current version of S2 is only an alpha!

the devs have loads of stuff they wanna do and damage is on the list, aswell as weather n stuff like that

nah liefde, my m8 did karts and took an ards test and said it was the same sort of thing, stupidly easy questions.

tristan, dont worry ATALL about the written section, its bascially covering flags and common sense, both are covered in the video u got in the pack from the MSA!

and as u probs aswell know, all the test peeps are looking for is that u are SAFE and aware, not as fast as senna.

nah, i used to at the start of league races n stuff, but its gone away now.

at the start of kart races when i first started i used to be so nervous my legs wobbled and i couldnt walk or talk properly, i used to shake lol, so lfs isnt quite so nerve racking in comparison.

u can tell when people are nervous iN LFS races tho, because they drive slower lap times and make funny movements at the starts..

csurdongulos, no offence to tristan but he isnt an 'alien' but he can get from the back to the front, overtake aggressivly, and when to fight and not to fight.

as u well know, because of the 'traffic' drivers in the mid pack are usualy 1 or 2 seconds a lap slower than the pace they COULD do if the track was clear, so u dont need to be very fast to catch them and overtake them, just smart and commited.

all of the 'aliens' that ive met in LFS cant race for toffee, apart from maybe n1lyn. they are clean sure, but they cant overtake a defending driver, make places up at starts, etc etc

ive raced with MANY people, and hardly any (apart from the above list) can come from the back to the front of the grid quickly, overtake and defend properly, and know when not to defend. Of course the league wrecking incident was bad from 1 of em, but im talking about their race craft, not their reputation!!

nah i aint a hotlapper type, although many are. i could count the decent, smart RACERS ive met in LFS on 1 hand;

• nikimere
  
• arrechee
  
• tristancliffe

but, if sum1 is holding me up in a silly way by not moving when they should and 2nd place is catching then id push them wide to pass, and maybe they will come back on infront of 2nd place. thats if they were weaving which is a totally illegitimate tactic. worse than firing.
but its rare that i cant pass people anyway, specially a backmarker.

there is benefits to your tactic for sure, and ive done that a few times

depends on the situation
if the driver is dangerous, then ill fire him wide, and he can carry on with no damage.

if the driver in 2nd place is MILES behind, then ill pass the backmarker clean

if the driver in 2nd is close, then ill fire the backmarker wide and he can carry on with no damage


i probably wouldnt bin him into the wall unless he was swerving

no way!!! always go to the inside, if there was a pile up, then all the wrecked cars are likly to go to the outside!

i try and keep them flicking inbetween green and red.
